What to Expect

Come witness a work of the Holy Spirit! The Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity (LCHT) and Kona Bible Church (KBC) share property, facility, pastor and staff while working together as 2 churches to proclaim 1 Gospel.

LCHT is part of the ELCA, but as the only Lutheran church in Kona, it draws Lutherans of all backgrounds and plenty of other Christians as well. The hour-long service begins at 8:30 and maintains traditional worship with hymns, recitation of creeds and the Lord’s Prayer, along with a sermon and weekly celebration of the Lord’s Supper.

KBC is a non-denominational, contemporary worship service that begins at 10:15. This service also creates time and space for testimonies, prayer, and listening to God along with the sermon.

We live and serve in Hawaii where the dress code for both churches is island style so please come as you are.

LCHT has activity bags for children to utilize during the service, while KBC has both Nursery (under 4) and Sunday School (4 and older through 5th grade) ministries.
