What is the HERO Ministry?

HERO’s is a ministry that provides blessings for homeless people in Kailua Kona. The blessings help meet basic needs of the homeless and include items such as food, water, first-aid kits, dental kits, hygiene kits, laundry kits, clothing, footwear, Bibles, and gift cards, which are distributed to the homeless on our mission trip walks (HERO walks).

What is a Mission Trip Walk (HERO walk)?

A mission trip walk is a LIVING demonstration of God’s love and grace through the simple act of taking a walk and helping people in need. More specifically, it is putting our faith in action, walking down Alii Drive, meeting the homeless where they are, and sharing gifts of grace with them.

A mission trip walk is also a way of reminding and encouraging my brothers and sisters in Christ that you don’t have to go overseas to a far off land to go on a mission trip. Going on a mission trip can be as close as taking a walk down Alii Drive and helping someone in need HERE and NOW.
